A mouse is a pointing device used to control the computer. There are two basic kinds: USB and PS2 mice. A third type, the serial mouse, is rarely used anymore. The only difference between the USB and PS2 mice is the plug on the end of the cable. Depending on your computer, you might need to use one or the other; most computers can use either type.

I opened up a computer that had been sitting in my garage for a while, there were two mice inside that were chewing the wiring. I'm not sure if I could use them, but there were indeed mice inside.
