Ipod is overpriced. People buy it for status. You can get MP3 players from other companies that have build in FM radios and voice recorders for half the cost of an ipod.

Ipod is a brand of MP3 player, but a snobby one at that. For one, your songs have to be (to run on Ipod) in the specific format made by Apple. So If you put your songs on your Ipod, thereby meaning you needed Itunes, you most likely will never get them back unless you either have the CDs or the original tracks someplace.

MP3 players on the other hand work with just about any format (except the Ipod one), and most are just as reliable. Warning: do not buy the Microsoft Zune, as I have had crappy luck with that. ITs basically what Apple would have made the Ipod as, if Apple was run by pre-historic apes.

Hi,
I shop a lot and to save time and money I use cheapest prices search engine. Almost every merchant is there and over a million consumer written reviews. You will find many other ways that will help you with questions.
You can shop online or you can go to a merchant and use the toll free phone number if you feel more comfortable shopping like that.
There are merchant reviews, over one million product reviews, compare by brand and a lot more. I hope I helped you and I wish you good luck.

for ease of use and a comprehensive and affordable music library, i say itunes all the way. the new shuffle is great if you are on the go, the video is excellent if you have a huge collection and want to buy videos, etc... the nano is right in the middle.
