It should be a right. How wealthy you are should affect lots of things, what kind of house you live in, how big your TV is, how nice your stuff is, what kinds of vacations you can go on, how well you retire, every single physical asset you can buy, etc....

But in my opinion, nobody should live longer based on their economics or whether or not they have been in legal trouble, etc... I think that's a perversion of the idea of equality that most free societies embrace.

Previledge -- its not a right to get healthcare. that said, there should be some way for those w/out health insurance to get access to decent rates. Notice I said rates-- that is, they still pay insurance premiums and not everybody is subjected to doing it.

With the number of people who don't have insurance, "somebody" can surely negotiate a "super-group" that people can buy into.

Is should be a right. Using socialized health care can save the lives of people too old or poor to afford basic health care. Even Medicare and other government health care has limitations.

It should be for all people, and all people should have to work also.

So if you have a government work program for all people who are not employed outside the private sector. And a national health program ( and since everyone is working, they can all pay a part of the plan)
