You have the answer before you! It's really quite simple! The reason you have any bullying is because there are just those few people who think that because nobody likes them that they should be feared! Because they have a low selfestiem and they they are socially dead inside other than the fact they think they have been placed in school to torture rather than learn like normal people! Anyway the conclusion is that you have to not pay attention to the bullies and not fear them cuz if you do you're just given them their ammo! If they have no power over you then they'll leave you alone!

Depending on where the bully is, it is either bad parenting efforts, as everyone has said, or being bullied before, and wanting to get back at everyone, or for popularity--yes, popularity. Kids who pick on the "weird" kids gain popularity. It's like initiation. Also, fear or jelousy is common, personal revenge is another, and a need for control as well. So far, in my experience, that's about it. In elementary school, it's pretty straight forward, the causes of bullying.

A lot of times it could be for the attention they get from the other children, it gives them a sense of superiority. It could also be to get something tangible, if they gain access to "things" then it benefits them. One more thing is it could be for escape, they may wish to escape whatever is going on at that time, for instance, if a child always bullies during lunch, maybe they don't have money to buy lunch, so it gets them out of the situation.

If it is taking place in your school, the principal needs to know about it. There are very tough rules being implemented nationwide to stop bully's!

I would have to say they might have bad homes and or bad parent ( or parenting skills) cause if you have a bad parent or poor then they feel bad inside then makes them want to take there anger out on other children
