hey im 14 1/2 years and decent at basketball....if i dont get a scholarship to play basketball for a college like boston university or syracuse or w.e....can u try out for that schools team...?????

Some schools have open try-outs where they might pick up one or more students to play on the team without scholarships. You can search online to see if this option is available at the schools you are interested in.

A lot of schools will take walk-ons, even the big name ones. It may be hard to get the coaches to give you a chance. If the school doesn't offer an open tryout, you may have to corner a coach and get them to see a video of your highlights or something. Maybe have your high school or AAU coach give the coach a call and get them to watch your video or give you a shot.

Not nessecarily, however you could go to their summer camps and try to impress them. I recommend really working on your skills though to go to one of those schools, also don't worry about getting offers till jr or senior year
