it shouldnt matter. Some people feel strongly against gay people, because they are different, or they just don't like them. I think it is stupid to treat them differently. Ya, they may be gay, but that shouldn't matter. I know a few people who's closest friends are gay. much luck with your speech=)

It shouldn't matter! God said we should love one another no matter the color of the skin, the length of the hair and I am sure he doesn't care if you are gay or not. He knows why some people are gay and some aren't. My self, I think it is a problem with the brain, a straight person is born with and a gay is not or the other way around. If a person is really gay and not just making himself gay, it is not his fault. People should leave the gays alone.

My personal religious beliefs are such that I believe it is unacceptable in God's eyes to act in a homosexual way I acknowledge that some people have these desires but it is my belief that this is a sin and through prayer, faith, and dedication can be overcome. That being said I do not believe in forcing my own opinions on others. Whether we believe or not in a person being gay we as Americans have to believe in the RIGHT for them to make their own decisions. As far as gay rights. That depends on the right they are asking for. I don't think they should be discriminated against. The workplace is not a place for sex period whether it be hetero or homosexual. They should have the right to go on about their own business without being harassed. As far as gay people having the right to marry and getting the same benefits as a married couple I do not agree with that. Marriage is a union between a man and a woman. Gay rights activists argue that a gay union should receive the same rights as a heterosexual. If benefits of this type (taxes, health insurance, etc.) are given to gay couples then others are being left out. What about couples who are nonsexual like two sisters who choose to live their lives together without marrying. Maybe what we need is a law allowing people to have a legal union with someone for these purposes regardless of who they are or are not having sex with.

It shouldn't matter at all. I'm not gay. I'm not for it nor against it. I think if it don't affect me at all what difference does it make? I don't think I will ever "understand" it but I know I'm no one to judge it. I've got my own problems and think if everyone focused on themselves instead of worrying about what other people do, this world would be a pretty neat place.

The only "cons" about being gay are people that can't except it. This should not even be an issue anymore, they deserve the same basic rights that everyone else is afforded.

That's a good question, to me it doesn't really matter because everybody is different in what he or she likes. See me I prefer men because that's just me...

A lot of my conservative friends hate and vilify gays, so I keep my secret to myself.
