Yes, any part of Africa between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn is considered in the tropics. These lines run across Senegal, Mali, Niger,Chad, Sudan and the far northern edge of Somalia in the North, and Angola, Zambia and Mozambique to the South.
