The best way to learn is to go into SL itself. Why read about it, when you can *do* it. (Not that "ït" 8-)

Don't worry about making mistakes. That's part of the wonder and charm. It is like a real world, but it isn't. Make mistakes all over again. Take chances. Have a blast. Try things. Screw up. Who cares??

Aside from that, there are various documentation sources around the web and in SL itself. When you want to know something, ask people. Again, that's half the fun, being there and talking to people.
