can i listen to songs with them cause i heard u could use a memory card for it

The answer is YES you can. You would need to buy an adapter that make it possible to insert an SD memory card in it. Then you would have to look up and download "homebrew" programs that enable you to play mp3s using your DS. Is it worth it? No it isnt. The DSlite is meant for games and only games. Even the psp music functionality isn't that good. Buy game systems for games and mp3 players (Ipod, Zune, Zen) for music/video.

It is possible but it wasnt exactly meant for playing music. There is something called a Play Yan. You buy this for about 80 dollars on ebay and you can play music, and movies on your ds using the Play Yan. The Play Yan does work off of sd cards ( a type of memory card) You hook the sd card on your computer and you can transfer music files as well as movie files to it. Then you plug in the sd card into the Play Yan cartridge and then you plug that cartridge into the gameboy slot in your ds. Then you acess it like a gameboy game. I found one on a website called PlayAsia.com (they sell a bunch of accessories and games for gaming consoles) for you. There is also another more cheap movie/music player for nintendo ds as well. It runs about 20 bucks and it is easier to convert your files since it comes with the software to do so. Unlike the play yan where it takes multiple steps to convert your files. I found this on one ebay for you too. Here is the link:
