A pap smear is no biggie. You get used to them and the doctors are gentle. it takes a few minutes max. Nobody really looks at the stuff like anything. Relax. Take a big deep breath and smile.

This just dosent make sense to me.

Is it just my mom, or are others not being careful.

Why have you waited so long to have a pap smear?

If you are sexually active you should have had one by now, not just for the check of STD's but for cancer.

I had my first pap at 16.

And I have had one every year since. they are just a bit uncomfortable, but it better to do that then end up with cancer, and it be to late to treat it.

And doctors are professonal.

Dont be worried about that.

Just take some deep breaths. It will all be okay. No one likes to go to these types of appts, but they are needed. Tell the doctor about your fear, and just ask them to talk to you and explain everything that is going on while they do it.

Good luck

Hand the note to the nurse before the doctor get in to see you. He will probably read it before he comes in. As far as the tests go, I was scared to death, afterwards I felt foolish that I got so upset. There is nothing to either one and they don't hurt at all. Just take a deep breath and go to the doctor with your head up.

Calm down, it's okay, no reason to freak out this much. It might make you more comfortable if you are seeing a female doctor. Even if it is male don't worry they are professionals, and they see hundreds of women it is their job. I hope this lump in your breast isn't much, good luck.

She lived in a small u . s . a . city and the close by Dr replaced into male and she or he refused to ascertain a male Dr approximately issues "down there". I had difficulty comprehend-how such an suggestions-set then, I even have much greater difficulty comprehend-the way it immediately, particularly from somebody who sounds so youthful! you're saying you hate human beings watching you like that, how do you advise? might you enable a Dr learn your arm or face for achieveable pores and skin cancers? might you refuse different medical medical care or purely maximum cancers medical care? Your physique - your selection, yet in my view i won't comprehend your suggestions in any respect!
