I got my crush for Secret Santa, but he's being a jerk about it!!!?

I got my crush for Secret Santa and I have it all nice and planned for next week when we are actually giving the gifts. I found out that he loves pretzels, so I asked someone to ask him what kind. In the process, some girl announced that its for Sam (me) isn't it? And then he realized and he told the girl who was asking him what kind of pretzels he likes, to tell me that I shouldn't bother. He knows that I like him, but he doesn't like me! Now, what should I do? I wanted it all to be a surprise!!!

Im planning to get him Pretzels AND a 30$ gift card for him!!

Don't spend that much on a jerk. Buy him a bag of regular pretzels (cheap ones) from the grocery store, toss it in a gift bag and don't put any effort into wrapping it. Make it look like you did the minimum possible and if he says anything tell him you took his advice to heart and "didn't bother".

well don't feel bad I went through the same exact thing. I considered this guy my best friend because we stuck together all in junior high and even in highschool. This year I decided since we are such good friends I should be his Cheer Buddy for football season. Every Friday we make them cards wishing them goodluck at the game and gave them goodies kinda like your secret santa thing but this went on for like 10 Fridays or more because we went to the playoffs. But anyways he never told me thank you for anything he would always want to accept the gift but never acknowledge me for it and it made me feel really bad. All I want to tell you is maybe you should really think about what you want to give him because you dont want to feel bad the whole time if he doesnt like it or doesnt want it or whatever. I bought a lot of expensive things for my buddy that were really unique and things like that but even that didnt work. He may not want anything from you but still go through with it and make him realize that you are not going to give up because then he may actually see what a sweet girl you are. So just don't give up!!!!!! I hope it works out for you!!!!!
