Just try to relax and enjoy this special time. There's nothing you can do to prevent a miscarriage, and if you do have one, a lot of times it's because there is something wrong with the baby. Plus....worrying is not healthy for a pregnancy. Try to relax, o.k.? Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

What would you rather have, a baby born with so many health problems or genetic abnormalities that it can't live on it's own and has to be hooked up to life support for the rest of it's life, or have a healthy baby? Miscarriages are for a reason, because the fetus was grossly malformed and wouldn't have survived anyway (probably). I had a miscarriage (because I worked in a facory that exposed me to paint fumes 8 hours a day, and I didn't know I was pregnant). I miscarried at week 8, but the baby would have been seriously messed up due to paint exposure. I didn't want that! Just relax, you said yourself that you are healthy, don't stress out about something you can't control anyway. If the doctor had detected something wrong, he'd have put you on bedrest or something. Just relax and enjoy!

Nearly everyone worries during pregnancy its normal, especially with the first. The doctor said that everything was fine so there is no reason why you willl miscarry. I have had four children and with my first I was so excited but also worried just like you, every time I went to the loo I would check everything was ok. You will get tummy pains but don't worry, this is just your body changing and getting ready for your groiwng baby. All through your pregnancy you will probably be worrying, e.g. is the baby going to be alright, should I have done that or eaten this. its normal. We've all been there. Try not to worry I know what your going through but everything will be fine. Once you feel your baby moving, once you see him/her on the scan it will make you feel alot better( you wont feel any movement for some time yet so DONT WORRY) CONGRATULATIONS

I had 3 miscarriages before finally getting pregnant with my son two weeks after the third one. With that pregnancy I didn't get excited until I was about 20 weeks. I was terrified of having another miscarriage. I am pregnant again and it might be anothe blighted ovum, where the baby didn't form. Just don't stress over having a miscarriage. I am sure everything will be just fine. Congrats!

I think that is every womens fear when they are pregnant. I am pregnant 38 weeks and my whole pregnancy I have been overwhelmed with the fact that any day anything could happen to my little angel. But every day goes by and she is still healthy and i just thank god every day. The feelling won't go away it is a mothering instinct. When you have your baby the new worry will be am i a good mom and why if my baby chokes or what is she suffercates. As she gets older your fears change. You will get through it and be happy as everyday goes by. good luck

Youre only nervous because this is your first pregnacy. My mother has been pregnant 12 times and has had 12 healthy children! Dont even stress it gurl, cause that will effect the baby. As long as you take care of yourself and dont do any thing extreme like leap down a flight of stairs you'll be fine. Surround yourself with positive things and just LIVE your LIFE..... and have a nice bowl of vanilla ice cream... be cool... when youre happy your baby will be happy.

If you take care of yourself and are not taking any physical risks, and you do miscarry, it was meant to be and you could not have prevented it. You have to put your fear aside because the stress of your worrying is putting stress on your baby too... vicious circle worrying when you are pregnant. Start shopping, that's the best way to ignore the worry. Congrats on your baby.

The best thing to do is not worry about it unless it happens because if you worry about it too much it will have an affect on the baby, every time you are stressed the baby stresses too. enjoy pregnancy i know it is 9 months but hey it goes fast.

One always think about a miscarriage when pregnant. But one has to take their chances. Your baby's going to be fine. Eat well and do everything the doctor tells you. Take care sweety.
