Well, i tell my family that i love them, but i feel closer to my friends than my family and i dont feel anything special for my family. I only tell them i love them simply because ive been grown up to do that and it is ion the form of respect.

I tell people I love them all the time, even though they know I don't mean it and that I'm just playing.
Sometimes I tell somebody I love them I love them because I respect them, just not that often.

Yea, I held it back though... It's not like the olden days where you can tell someone you love them and not have her go "I think you are moving too fast." I guess part of us loves them, just not as much as to say it out loud. So at least there is that connection there.

I told someone that I loved them and wish the hell that I did not...in retrospect he did not deserve it and I should have used my head! I do not think that I really loved him but at the time it sure felt real...

No I would never do that ! If you really like and respect them, than you would want to be completely honest.

Yes, because I knew he loved me and I wished I could say that I felt the same, but I couldn't lie to him.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was liking this guy but I didn't love him, yet. And when he told me that he loved me, all I could do was say, "mmh, mmh." Eventually I told him that I love him and we have been going strong for two years.

Great Q.....

I think in the heat of the moment... strong like could be construed as "love".... but the word "love" should not be used lightly...

Yeah, almost every day with my man. We haven't said "I love you" yet, and I'm a little scared to be the first.
