i recently told this guy i liked how i felt abt him & he told me that he would have said yes but that he's not searching for a relationship right now.we ended up talkin for more than an hour afterwards abt a lot of stuff,life in general(it was the best conversation i ever had with him)& he left with a "hey,at least we can be friends right?" to which i agreed obviously.
after that night,he never comes online & i have a suspicion that he has blocked me on msn cos my friend told me that his nickname was "are you the now or never kind?" when i had the bon jovi song lyrics "it's now or never" as my nickname.
he talks to me when i see him in person sometimes,but it's only me who has to initiate the conversation though his best friend told me that this guy thinks abt me & that "things may happen in the future".he has been very distant even from his best friends.
how do I handle this situation?does he need more time or is this a lost case?

dont pursue a relationship with a person who does not want one right now and dont listen to his friends if he is being distant from them right now he may not have told them everything

If he likes you he would talk to you. Plain and simple. Find a new guy. There are plenty! He sounds like a jerk
