Well, I had all four of mine done at the same time AND GLAD I DID! It's been a long time though since. But, I was put to sleep while they did it. I was really nervous too, more so for the shot - I hate shots.
Well, after I came to and later that day when the anesthetics wore off, I was sore. They will give you pain medicine to take for a week or so. Well, I won't lie, it is worse than a filling or root canal... the pain will be there for several days, but it will heal up and you'll be fine.
Constant bleeding... that is not so common, I mean sure it may have happend to some people but that doesn't happen all the time... just make sure you follow the doctors instructions... when he/she says no bending or exercising or whatever else for a while..... then DON'T DO IT!
You'll be fine.

I had all four of mine taken out at the same time, I was awake, I didn't/wasn't able to eat solid foods for about a week, and whatever you do, DON'T use a straw to drink out of because it could cause you to get dry-socket (that sucks, let me tell ya).
I think I missed a few days of school, and it's nothing like having a filling or a root canal. Fillings & root canals are a lot more fun. I think the whole thing took at least a couple of hours.
Good luck!!

I have and I will give you the details to follow:
The only problem I had was a dry socket, which I really don't think you can avoid...it either happens or it doesn't. They say smoking and sucking through a straw causes them, but I don't think it matters. It just happened. That was the tough part b/c it hurt so much! I had to go back after I was complaining and he jammed medicine in the hole and my god, I was crying it hurt so bad. So, he numbed me up to finish. (I hate that guy now that I think back.)
The surgery itself went really fast and I had a friend drive me home. Try to get your meds the day before...I hated waiting in the hot car while my friend went in and waited for the prescription to be filled. I was out of work for a few days...literally a good 4 days. I was just sore and grumpy and needed rest to heal. The only other thing is that sometimes when they are removing the teeth a piece gets left behind in the gums and causes a severe infection that they have to cut your gums open again. Just be confident in your dentist.
Good luck to you! It's not that bad! My brother was even less of a wuss than me. He had no issues whatsoever and missed like 1 day of work.

The procedure only took about 10 minutes to remove all 4 for me. I was awake, but it was more uncomfortable rather than painful.
Eating proved difficult, and remained on a diet of mostly ramen noodles and pudding. I missed 2 days of work.

Well, first pray you have insurance. Mine began acting up and I didn't have insurance and found out that I had to have them cut out. It cost me almost $2000, of which I had to pay cash for. I got put under only for a little over an hour (yes, I was put to sleep) and I had to miss about 3 days of work. It was painful, and I wasn't allowed to eat solid food for quite a few days. My sutures broke, and that made it even worse. But once you get through it, it makes you feel a lot better. I was glad to put up with a few days of pain (that gets dulled if you get real good pain meds) rather than live with the constant pain.♥

I haven't gotten mine removed I suppose to but I"m scared to death to do it. When I get my wisdom teeth taking out they said they have to put me to sleep...about the procedure it shouldn't take that long when you wake up you probably be confused a little it'll seem like you didn't get the procedure done yet...i had a procedure done before it wasn't to bad. Good luck
Rock on!

I had one wisdom tooth taken out. They didnt need to put me to sleep. The dentist took less than a minute to extract the tooth. He gave me some painkillers and my cheek didnt swell up too much. Also, I had bleeding for the first 3-4 hours and I even managed to eat chicken w/ mashed potatoes that night. I took only one day off work. Trust me, it's not that bad. The worst part is having to keep the gauze in your mouth and having to change it constantly.

Had a wisdom tooth pulled, wasn't put to sleep just had my gum numbed. No pain after and it didn't bleed at all and no facial bruising. My dentist just advised me to take normal pain killers if it did hurt and to put a towel on my pillow in case of bleeding during the night. I ate carefully on the other side. It was honestly no problem at all.

it's not as bad as you think... i don't remember much of the procedure and i didn't even have to take any pain meds other than otc ibuprofen for the pain after it was over... i wasn't able to eat the first day... but the next day, i was able to eat a little more and so on... it will all be okay and over with before you know it... good luck...
be sure to follow all doctor's orders after the procedure...

Im no longer going to lie. i became in an excellent type of discomfort about an hour or 2 after the technique. i ought to under no circumstances wait the three hrs before I had to take yet another discomfort killer. yet its livable. I propose you get a ton of tomato soup. it truly is about the actually ingredient you could devour.no longer some thing with chunks in any respect. of and shakes! yet devour with a spoon no longer straw. reliable success! you'll do large
