Very bad, because I've been unemployed for almost 2 years now and can't find work.

Labor laws are good for us. They protect us as working citizens. They define what is fair and logical. I mean, it makes sense to say that children can't work until a certain age. It makes sense that people are to get so many breaks throughout their shifts. It is only fair to have a set minimum amount of pay per hour. If we didn't have these laws, many employers (sadly but true) would take advantage of their employees and there wouldn't be a thing anyone could do about it.

Labor laws make lazy employees... like the guy above me-

If there is no minimum wage, every person sets their own minimum wage... They work for the amount they are willing to work for.

Example: If the minimum wage goes up (in theory to help the lower class workers), kids who would have gone to college may decide to take the higher paying job... competing with the lower class workers and in turn creating more competition for the same few jobs.

Higher minimum wages also discourage business ventures... reducing the number of available jobs.
