the best way to calm you down when you are angry is to find out the source of you anger if you know it the start figuring out all the options that you have to resolve the problem if you just leave for later it will get stored and will comeback again so when you are angry deal with the situation right on and find a solution that will meat the interest of the source of your anger and your ofcourse

When I would have a bad day or when I was angry about something I couldn't wait to hop off the pat bus and get to my apartment so I could take a nice long bath, through on some jazz and then fall asleep. It helps to forget. Now being married I have to talk about all my feelings. I miss those days of independence.

Go for a brisk walk for 1/2 hour, and while you are waliking take deep breaths of fresh air. It calms you down and gets rid of your anger.

Take three deep breaths. Inhale slowly and when you feel your lungs are half full, stop for a moment then continue to inhale until you feel your lungs full. Then stop for a moment and exhale slowly until your lungs are half empty, stop for a moment then exhale completely. Continue until you feel you are more in control of your emotions.
If we all contained anger this way the world would be a better place for all.

the old saying "take a deep breath and count to ten" helps,,,,,, anything that will help you pause a moment,,,,, then you can decide if expressing that anger is going to be helpful to you at that moment, or if its something you need to just walk away from and sort out later,,, and do sort it out later, in your own mind if nothing else,,,,, was someone purposely trying to make you angry? or was it just something that happened by chance etc

Sex, it gets out all of my energy and than I'm just calm and relaxed :)
Other than that, taking a shower tends to calm me down and if I don't have time to take a shower, just washing my face will help.

It depends what kind of person you are. Some people need to let out their rage, and thats the best way to do it for them because they have no self control. Me i just take a deep breath and aaaaaah, anger all gone.

Taking a walk helps. I try not to talk to the person that I am angry with until I can talk with them without calling names. Then when I get it out, I choose my words carefully. I never say " You make me feel." I realize that nobody can make me feel anything. My feelings are my own. I just say, " I feel that ........... when you said......." What did you mean by that?"
