If you say batsman:

It is Bradman, without any doubt
If a cricketer, Sobers.

Have a look at the stats:

Bradman: 52 matches:
6996 runs 99.94 average 2 triple century 12 double century 29 centuries

Sobers: 93 matches:
8032 runs 57.78 average 1 triple century (365) 1 double century 26 centuries
Bowling: 235 wkts

Sobers was an alrounder playing at 5/6 position (Scoring so many runs at position 5/6 is tremendous)
whereas Bradman was a batsman played at no.3.

Though Sachin Tendulkar holds the records for most centuries for Test & One Day matches, I still consider Sir Don Bradman as the world's greatest batsman, considering the conditions and infrastructure available when he was playing as compared to today and the way he was batting.

Mate there is only one all the rest are fighting for second place
Sir Don Bradnam
His batting figures simply speak for themselves
Tests 52
Runs 6996 av. 99.94
Centuries 15
Double centuries..11
triple centuries...3

1st Class figures
234 matches
Runs ..28,067...Av 95.14
centuries or better 117

At Test and 1st class level he scored a century or better every 2.8 times at bat coming in mostly at Number 3. No one before or since is within a cooee of that record. Only Brian Lara is anywhere near being in the same ball park and he has really only just turned into the parking area.

Sachin Tendulkar offcourse! He's the most dreaded batsman and the only batsman to have scared the aussie bowlers.

SIR DON BRADMAN IS THE GREATEST BATSMAN OF ALL TIME.

Currently, Mohammed Yousuf is at his peak. Don't forget Ponting, u never know when he strikes ( and strikes hard). Lara is one off type, brilliant today loser tomorrow.
