It is the Eagle. It is on the wall in our parliament as well as part of the official stander of our flag.

There is no official national animal. The eagle is the
sign of the federal republic. Thus it's name. It has
however nothing to do with a national animal like the
kangaroo for Australia. The white stork in fact is germany's
national bird. But that's kind of an unofficial title :-)

@Lear... It seems something is fishy around here. Why delete the entry because it seems false to you? The only way to lie is to cover the truth and i think you and a lot others are lying. They also must have seen entries of such and delete too so that there will be no trace of it. what are you guys hiding? If Germany is not connected to Leopard then why this? http://www.houseofnames.com/leopard-coat-of-arms

Bundesadler or Federal Eagle. But I don't think it is in plain text like in the USA with State bird, state flower, etc...

On our official flag we have a symbilised eagle. We call it the "Bundesadler" which means as much as "Federal Eagle". but it does not really look like a real eagle.
