Vet school is graduate school and you will need to pursue a 4 year degree first.

University of Georgia recommends that HS students take a lot of science. They require a 4 year degree with these college classes as prerequisites:

6 hours of English;

In the US, you do need an undergraduate degree. It is, however, harder to get into vet school than medical school because there are so few vet schools here. You'll need to major in some sort of biological science, and get a really high GPA. Work experience in a vet hospital is also valuable experience, and may help your chances.
