I had sex with my ex-bf(he wasn't my ex then) a week after my daughter was born. Is it possible that I can be pregnant again?

I was on the pill right after giving birth to my son and I was breastfeeding. Needless to say, I am 30 weeks pregnant and my son will be 9 months old on Christmas eve. So it is possible but before you start freaking out, give it a little longer. You only gave birth 7 weeks ago so your body could be still adjusting to not being pregnant. I would take a test and if it's negative, then just give your body more time to adjust. Good luck

Congratulations on your child. It is highly possible that you got pregnant since you had unprotected sex and you're not on birth control. You will need to wait around 10-15 days after intercourse and then take a preganancy test. If it reads negative - you still might be pregnant - if you are more than 3 days late for your period - take another test. (If you are breast feeding you may NOT get your period - so you should check with a pregnancy test again 30 days following intercourse.) You may want to consider an easy to use birth control. Ask your doctor about you options. It's important for YOUR health and your new baby's health to NOT get pregnant right after having a baby. Your body needs time to recover - and you are probably pretty tired with a new born! You want to be around for your child's life - so maybe consider using condoms to protect against HIV and other STDs. Take care of yourself and that sweet little child.

Yes, the hospital wants you to wait six weeks for your body to heal and the bleeding to stop. If you had sex an let him climax in you 7 days after child birth not only could you get pregnant agian your pregnacy can be labels "high risk"

It is very unlikely. Please don't use this as a free pass to continue having unprotected sex - look at all the options, including getting an IUD (easier now that you've given birth), and always use a barrier method as well - you've got STDs to worry about as well.
Oh, and you're less likely to get pregnant again if you breastfeed.

You should see your doctor. You are not suppose to have sex for about six weeks after giving birth. You can get an infection.
by the way if you are nursing you may not have a period.
Pregnancy is possible though so see your phycisian.

Chances are pretty unlikely because your body is still trying to recover. Also I heard that breast feeding is like birth control so if your daughter is breast fed, then the chances would be even lower. Good luck.

sorry but no it is not possible especially if you are breastfeeding. You have to have ovulated to get preg. And furthermore you should not be haveing sex a week after having a child. There are numerous health problems you face by doing so. Do you really want another child, or are you so unconcerned about your child and your heath to jeapordize it in such a way???

You very well could be, you're most fertile soon after you've had a baby. Hope everything works out the way you want it to.
