Reggie Bush. This is not the most valuable player, and if it was most valuable rookie to his team, without a doubt Devon Hester. He won 2 games with his kick returns, but its not. This is about rookie stats. What has he done playing his regular position (and most people dont even know it because he is garbage) at cornerback. Rarely, but when he is on the field teams go after him and exploit him. This yearis going to be Reggie Bush. Marques Colston was easily on his way to getting it, but was plagued by injuries. Reggie putting up a punt return TD, and 3 touchdowns in one game. He has been a big part of the Saints this year, and has definatly put up the stats, being in the top 10 for RB's in Yahoo! Fantasy Football. Vince Young's only good stats are wins. He hasnt thrown the ball excpetionally well, he can run and has shown that, but a QB needs to throw to earn that award. Winning games is good for your team, but is not good if it's the only thing your good at if you want this award.
Reggie Bush prevails in a close race with Devon Hester and Marques Colston.

Marques Colston is a strong canidate for rookie of the year. He leads rookies with 917 yards receiving and 7 touchdowns. Devin Hester is a good canidate also because he leads rookies with 14.4 average punt return yards and is a phnom player. Maurice-Jones Drew is a strong canidate so my pick for Rookie Of The Year goes to.....

1. Marques Colston

2. Maurice-Jones Drew

3. Devin Hester

4. Vince Young

5. Reggie Bush

Bush is going to be great, but how about the Chicago Bears' CB/KR Devin Hester?? SIX returns for TDs this season. Talk about that for a game-breaking rookie... He's bailed QB Rex Grossman out of some abysmal performances, and the Bears are the cream of the NFC thus far in '06.

Colston was the front runner until he got hurt, now i doubt he will win because a bunch of rookies have caught up production wise.

Hester has had an awesome year but being mostly special teams he won't win R.O.Y.

Bush has been great but he started scoring T.D.'s too late. He needed to have a better beginning to the season.

If you want to go on production and numbers then Jones-Drew would win. 12 total T.D.'s.

But my guess is the voters will give the R.O.Y. honor to Vince Young, because he has been able to single handed beat teams. His stats aren't great, but he has in the eyes of the voters the toughest and most exciting position...Quarterback. If he keeps winning games like he did last Sunday, there is no way he will lose R.O.Y.
