what should i do? my boyfriend keeps telling me we are gonna go look at engagement rings but he still hasn't brought me. i know he wants to marry me because we have already set the date for sometime in march next year but he still hasn't proposed. he is a very slow mover at just about everything. he admitted he was scared about getting married but he still wants to make the committment. he just sold his truck and told me he was gonna use the money to fix up his new truck and buy me an engagement ring but he's just about spent all the money fixing up his truck. christmas time is coming, so i don't know if he's just waiting till then to give me a ring or what. is he putting this off for a reason, or is he just moving slower than i would like? i know he loves me because he shows it and tells me all the time and tells me he wants me to be his wife. should i put some fire under his rear or just sit back and let him take his time? please help!

he could be having sexonc thoughts or marriage he could not be ready for it, dont rush, if you dont think he will ever commit then you should find someone else to be with.

Well, you can't be, on the one hand, in a hurry to get a ring - and, at the same time, be putting pressure on him to spend a ton of money on it. Pick one! If the price/size of the ring doesn't matter - tell him; you can get a nice ring for under $500, and they have payment plans at the jewelry stores. This sum shouldn't "break the bank".
If, however, you have specific requirements re. the type of ring you want - you may very well have to wait til he feels ready to splurge on it.

Maybe he wants to save up some more money to buy you a really nice engagement ring. Just be patient. Some men get cold feet if pressured. Just hang in there.

give him some time hun...after all christmas is coming and maybe its going to be a bigger surprise than u think...if he goes nowhere after xmas with the engagement then put a fire under his azz...good luck
