When my baby was 2 months she liked her mobile and I read books to her. Also baby einstien movies are aimed at all different age groups.

Toys may be a little advanced at this point. Often the best entertainment for a two-month-old is a parent's face, or pictures with high color contrast. This time of year, twinkling Christmas tree lights can be utterly captivating to a young infant. It may be a another month or two (or three) before he will be able to hold a teether ring successfully on his own.

Being held, baby mozart music, being read to, soft toys...they won't teeth for a while so just soft things to grasp onto.
Why not head on over to a Babies-r-us and ask the pro's there...they can give you a rundown on the most popular toys, items for a baby that age;)

Get one of those gymni's that they have at baby stores. Then hang toys from it and put him in it. (2 months is the right age to start doing this.) He might cry at first, because he's not used to it, but pretty soon he should start noticing and being fascinated by the toys hanging over him. Both of my kids LOVED their gymnis.

1. get a colorful mobile preferably the one from tiny luv as it has solid colors and black & white pattern which babies at this stage can recognize.
2. get some musical toys and keep playing to the baby.. very soon your baby will become familiar with it.
3. get toys with nursery rhymes and play it to the baby.
4. get some rattles and shake it in front of your baby when he is in a playful mood.
5. best of all, talk to your baby, sing to your baby, read to your baby, make actions with your hands and do many facial expressions.
some of the toys i am using for my two month old are rattles with lots of songs, leapfrog's Leap which sings alphabet song, fisher price nursery rhymes cd player, gemini tiny luv mobile, tiny luv play gym.
hope this helps

My baby liked her mobile and being held outwards so they can see lots of different things. She mostly liked her mom and dad talking to her and being goofy. She is 3 months old now and kinda likes toys being dangled in front of her she can't grab them yet but if i put one in her hand she can put it in her mouth.

My 2 month old son likes for me to put him over my shoulder so he can kick his legs out like he is flying. He also likes his mobile over his crib and his swing has light up fish and plays music. Most of all he loves to be held and played with.
Congratulations on your baby....

Probably a couple more months before he holds a toy and can entertain himself with it. Singing songs with hand movements worked well with me.... "Pat-a-cake" or "I'm a Little Tea Pot"

At 2 months, he like to sleep, eat and be cuddled. They still can't focus very far out, and grip is random at best.
