my 2000 cadillac deville started to shake alittle when your taking off and when its at idle so i had it checked and the code that came up indicated that the camshaft position sensor was malfunctioning so i ordered it but now i would like to know if anyone knows how to replace it on this car or where exactly i can locate it. any response would be helpful

This isn't merely a simple up-plug and re-plug operation. There are several things you must observe.

The cps is located in the distributer housing. I don't know what motor your deville has, but if it's the 3.1L you'll need to remove the power steering pump to get to it. other than that, it's no big deal to replace

why not take it somewhere where someone knows what they are doing?
