Hello!

I see a lot of Hardcore music fans who take music seriously always buy vinyl records, I think it's cool and has it's charm (I mean buying vinyl) but why do they buy 'em now?? because I'm really confused and I really want to know if it's worth it to start a Vinyl Record Collection.

Thx in advance!

Alot of people just prefer the sound of vinyl over compact discs. Especially if you grew up listening to vinyl, cds just don't sound the same.

Why buy a record? the nostalgia of the era and the sound of the recording makes it more enjoyable to a lot of people because it reminds them of their childhood or when technology wasn't as sophisticated. Also, there is a lot of value in a record than there is a CD, but as with everything, time puts a value on everything. Is it "worth" to start a collection? In my opinion yes it's worth it if you are a true fan of music. Over all, I think, it's simply the remembrance of a time past that brings people to collect records.

Music is analog in nature (sound waves, not bits). CDs try to emulate the sound wave in a digital format. If you are really interested in reproducing the music in it's purest form you want to be as close to analog as you can.

This is also why a lot of people use tube based equipment instead of solid state.

Unfortunately it's almost impossible to reproduce music in a 100% pure form because the equipment interferes, no matter how good it is.

I have a bunch of vinyl lp's and also a ton of 45's. I'm sure they are probably worth something but they definitely are not as durable as cd's
