I just got the new My Chemical Romance album, The Black Parade, and I've fallen in love with it, especially the slower songs ("Disenchanted," "Cancer," etc.). Are there any other earlier My Chemical Romance songs like those, or did the band do mostly just screemo-type music before?

Their first album earned them the "screamo" name. It was really a good album though. Some of the songs can be considered a bit morbid. Not some peoples tastes but hey...we all have our own opinons. "Early Sunsets Over Monroeville" and "Demolition Lovers" are really good. The latter is not really a slow song but it's a love song.
I also agree with whoever said "Ghost Of You".

To the person who said people like us ruined them...No one ruined MCR. Someone just didn't get the idea when Gerard said this was a concept album. Besides, no one can sing about the same thing over and over again and expect to make it in the music business. They are growing and branching out musically and are doing an excellent job. I personally applaud them on the new album. It's great.
