man if you were in the usa instead of there you could do more things since translators are needed everywhere the Hispanic community usually uses the services of translator any ways if you really want to make money move to a touristic place where you know that the British people will go on vacation you will see for instance they will feel more comfortable talking to you or you translating that any other native trying to speak
Englis

You could try translating. If you go a little further inland from Malaga, there are lots of Brit communities who live in locations where the Spanish don't speak any english (not that I'm saying they should!).

Brush up on your medical knowledge. Brits always need either the medical centres or the hospital, and it's frightening if you don't speak much Spanish. At around 10 euros an hour, you can earn 30 or 40 euros in just 1/2 an hour by making appointments at the medical centre for 3 or 4 people around the same time. People are willing to pay 10 euros for a translator to go to the medical centre with them, even if it only takes 5 minutes.

Also, there's no outlay as there would be if you were to start a business. Translating is big business!

Why Malaga? That is mostly Spanish tourist. The Spanish really don't have a need for English speakers in white collar jobs. Go North a fed hundred kilometers and there are bountiful jobs within the ranges of tourism.

Someone sitting near me at the moment suggests you do poll dancing. Laugh

I think you could maybe help tourists by translating. Why not pop into a Spanish Estate Agents offering to help with the English speaking customers?

What about something like starting up an ice cream van and then expanding the fleet when you become more successful? and then selling it on when it really flourishes?? Good Luck!
