um... cuz it's a make believe holiday
i once heard that the original spelling was "Quanza" but they had too many people already lined up to present the holiday so they changed the spelling.

Why should we? It was made up in 1966 by Dr. Maulana Ron Karenga and has very little history. Why doesn't the US Government celebrate my Birthday? Aren't you tired of being so PC about everything? Just because you are a wan-a-bee ***** I am offended that you would ask such a question! There are a million things that should be a holiday before Kwanzaa even makes the list. What About 9/11 day, Pearl Harbor Day? Bastone Day? Betsy Ross Day? Sacajawea Day? End of Civil War Day? Iwo Jima Day? D-Day Day? Holocaust Day? First Steps on the Moon Day? What about more days for our heroes and for those who sacrificed themselves for you? A fake holiday because some man feels sorry for himself and others like him? Heck he already has a whole month! I don't think so. Christmas is all about the children anyway. Children of all skin colors. Why should we have a "Black Only Holiday!" Oh I know... to create more racial divide in America! Yeah that's the ticket.

Other religious holidays aren't either;
National holiday: A national holiday is a statutory holiday enacted by a country to commemorate the country itself. It is usually the anniversary of the country's independence, the signature of its constitution, or other significant event, though this is not always the case; in some cases it is the saint's day of the country's patron saint.

I quite doubt it, yet why could desire to it not be? because of the fact that's not a an previous shaped white Christian holiday? Welcome to united statesa. , not "Welcome to Nazi Germany". superb attempt - becoming hate so early interior the USA of united statesa. presidential race - not on the candidate's platform (when you consider which you won't be in a position to locate one fault in it), yet a hundred% on their race, each thing my united statesa. stands against, bigoted human beings such as you're our weakest ingredient that we could desire to continually expell like the malignant blight which you're. You heavily ought to do a splash examine into the founding of our honest united states, and much greater so, examine into why federal holidays are declared (not for non secular motives). and then the two settle for all races and religions as equals, or go away this united states that my kinfolk fought for and has maintained with the aid of blood, sweat, and faith interior the evolution of humankind because of the fact the early seventeenth century. Get your techniques, and your act, mutually in the previous you spout out such igonorant venom in public, and be a stable, honorable, nicely reported & respectful AMERICAN.

Less than 5% of Americans celebrate Kwanzaa.
You probably need more of a majority.
They don't celebrate it in Africa do they?
