For your information the only reason i spelled it correctly once was because I thought about it beforehand, and infact i almost did mispell it even then.

You're getting all the right letters, just putting them in the wrong places. For me, this happens when I'm typing a little faster than the spelling part of my brain can keep up with.
I set my word processor to automatically correct that kind of mistake, and I read over everything I type before I send it. Spell check can catch a lot of those errors, too.

Probably because you wrote it as mabey for a long time when you were younger and your brain wiring still takes that as the default. Probably because it's making the association with words like 'monkey', where the e sound is spelled ey. You'll need to change your association with the word. It might be to think of it as: I may be young... You wouldn't write 'be' as 'bey' in that case. Then it's a matter of repetition, like writing 'maybe' a bunch of times or writing different sentences with maybe, things like that. Also, if you catch the mistake on something written out on paper, don't erase it--circle the mistakes and make a big X through the word, writing the correct word next to it, circling the corrections.
For 'the', you're probably just going too fast for your fingers. Have you tried just typing 'the' over and over really slowly, the gradually building up your speed?

My first guess would be mild dyslexia, but you did spell it correctly at least once in your question. Or it 'may be' easier for your fingers to make the transition from from the "A" key to the "B" than it is the "Y". Try thinking of the word as the two literal separate words they are: MAY BE. Then lose the space between - that may help. Or if that's too hard, just set up your word processor to auto correct the incorrect spelling. Good luck with that.

You can't imagine how confused I was about spelling maybe -- took me forEVER.
That's why I started using the word 'perhaps' when I wrote.
I do 'teh' a lot, too, but that's not a spelling confusion, so much as a typing confustion.
quesiton
int he (for in the) are also common with me.
And I frequently type the words if, it, is interchangebly.
Sad, isn't it?

Apparently you do not always spell maybe as maybey because you spelled it correctly at least once in your question. As to the other word, typos happen.
