I was watching the Ellen show before, and she went up to a guy and his girlfriend in the audience and started talking to them and then it turned out that the guy was going to propose to his girlfriend. So he got down on his knee and then there was a sound and Ellen just decided it was time to move on to the next part of the show when she gives free stuff to everyone in the audience. The girl looked pissed off and upset, so why would they do that? I'm thinking it may have been done on purpose for a comedy thing, but it looked real.

I just watched that episode also and I thought the same thing. It must have been a joke. But if it was they should have let us know or something.

You have got to be kidding! I am not being rude, really! You THINK you love dogs! THINK!!!! Will watching a TV show like THAT improve your breeding skills! Read everything possible about breeding dogs, all the hard work, the heartbreak, the money you lose, your time,,which is tremendous amount spent taking care of puppies, then finding them a GOOD home, with people who will take care of it, train it, love it. Ellen Degeneres can't teach you that.

I don't think it's for real. I think it's a set up. That is how she usually starts her part of the show where she gives out stuff. She loves to surprise people. I think Ellen is very considerate of her fans.

To be honest, I actually wrote her an email on this incident. Have never done that before, to any star, but it seemed so out of place and so un-Ellenesque. It was also very upsetting to me and my cuz. The girl looked blown away, she was shaking and everything. If it was an act, I bet she says something about it on today's show. If I wrote, I bet others did too.
