Scientifically, females mature faster; both emotionally and physically. The emotional part it thought to come for the modern and cultural views of a woman's role in society. In many cultures women marry young, and begin families at the mere age of 14-16. The shorter life expectancies are/were the earlier the age for marriage and children. No culture wants to become extinct, they need children. Often we view the man as the keeper of the house, but let me bring up this quote...

"A man may work from sun to sun. A woman's work is never done."

In most cases the woman runs the household. However, it is also a mothering nature of females that brings us to mature more rapidly.

Women/girls mature physically (in most cases) faster that males. Like for instance a females voice changes around the age of three, but a boys does not until between 14-16. Females mature more quickly to prepare for child birth, and mothering. As I have stated before in many cultures (and our past) child birth, and marriage happened at a much earlier age. The male body does not have to prepare to pop out a child, but the woman's body does.

I hope that this answers you question. Sorry for all the grammar/spelling errors. I have to to my homework, so I really shouldn't be on here. If you have been Throughrough 8'th grade, you know what I mean. :D
