Standing ovation in the theatre I saw it in on Sunday evening, it was FAN-TAS-TIC!!! Loved every second of it, violence and all... still not as violent as passion of the christ, but it was gory.

Its the #1 movie in America right now. I highly recommend it.
I liked it for its actors, computer graphics, story, jungle... However for historical integrity, i was not too thrilled. It mixed Maya and Aztec traditions together, the dates were off, and they showed none of the advances of the Maya culture in areas such as Astronomy, Mathmatics, Roads, Aquaducts with running water...ect.... The Mayan mathmatics for example were so advanced, it made Greek and Roman numerals look like 1 + 1. None of the advances were shown in detail.....but focused on the sacrificing which is more Aztec than Mayan tradition.
