go through some magazines and cut out the good bits , good pics and words / letters. Make a weird picture by sticking the bits together like really big human eyes on a dog or a goldfish sitting on a chair, use your imagination which you must have to want to attempt to make something. I would love it if someone made me something, putting in time and effort is way better than buying something and saying OH THIS'LL DO., Good on you buddy. Good luck
or
Old CDs stuck together with a loop of fishing wire between to hang, maybe a small pic of them and a friend placed in the inside before sticking together so it shows through the hole in the middle or use a pic of fav music/ movie star

You could cover some empty food cans with fabric to use as desk accessories to hold pencils, paper clips etc. An old picture frame with a piece of screening attached to the back could be used to attach her pierced earrings. Spray paint the entire thing and seal it with a protective coating. Drill a hole in the center of the frame at the bottom. Insert a small dowel to act as a support to hold the frame upright. Check out http://www.familycrafts.about.com for some other ideas.

If they have an ipod or phone you can make a case out of some old cloth or a purse out of sum fabric. If you have wood laying around you can make her a box for her jewel and paint it with some spray paint.

Make her a picture frame! Out of wood or even popsicle sticks and decorate them with little plastic jewels or paint them or add glitter... just whatever! But we girls always seem to be needing picture frames, so why not make her one?
