ginger seemed to help me with sickness throughout both of my pregnancies. eating a ginger biscuit before getting out of bed in the morning, drinking ginger ale to releive the sickly feelings in the day. has your sister been checked by the gp or midwife? could be that she is anaemic in which caseshe needs plenty of iron which is found naturally in plenty of vegetables, meat, or even chocolate. and even in iron tablets.orperhaps she is starting to get a little dehydrated and would need to seek medical attention. hope everything goes well for your sis x

well...I dont know how long ago she found out she was prego, I dont know if she is seeing an OBGYN...and I dont know how far along she is...so I am just gonna say this...For morning sickness: Drink water and ginger ale...eat crackers and anything that will be easy to throw up...ex: mashed potatoes...something with out a lot of taste...sipping cold water helped me...get enough rest...For the fainting...I am not exactly sure...I would def. go to the doc....Good luck and I hope all goes well...tell her Congrats.

It is really important for her to keep her fluids up and try to take a B-vitamin complex when she does eat. Vitamin B6 is very helpful in eliminating morning sickness, but you want to take it in conjunction with other B vitamins because they work together. Try a 50 mg complex 1-2 x day. Be sure to tell your health care provider that you are trying this.

If shes fainting she needs to eat more often. I almost fainted at work early in my pregnancy and it was because i wasnt eating. I didnt usualy eat much or often and had to adjust fast! If she is nauseous try asking the Dr about vitamin B6...thats what my dr recommended to me!

Everyone is different.

Find a good doula or midwife to help you find the solution.

I found eating in small amounts, very often to be beneficial.

The books by Susun Weed were also very helpful for me.

best,

Soda crackers and sip water. It is the only thing that helped for me!

If she can't keep ANYTHING down she may have to be put on an IV to keep her body hydrated.
