Red and gold are always winners (they're lucky colors in chinese culture.)
Since it's the year of the pig, you could wear something with pigs on it (if you can find it!), although chinese people don't usually wear anything associated with the animal for the new year's celebrations... that idea is more of a 'novelty' than anything else.

It's not any time soon, but you can wear one of those chinese jacket with them symbols on it, usually blue or red or black or white, or some jacket with the funny little buttons and dragons or pheonix. Pants? well, some thing dark. I guess.

A purple little pony with rainbow colored mane and tail and red and purple favourite individual tattoos alongside its neck. And black diamond earrings with a purple lining going for the era of it. Yea.. horse..
