I've always had a thing for the name Phoebe with the second name Lou-Ellen;

Phoebe Lou-Ellen, I think its so cute and really flows well together.

I also like Eleanor Rose as I think it sounds romantic, a bit old fashioned but in a nice way.

People have always called me Josephine instead of Joanna and I've actually taken to that name as well because I like the idea of shortening it to Josie.

Some more I quite like are;
- Jocelyn
- Brianna
- Rhianna
- Gwendolyn
- Annabelle
- Anastacia
- Louis (pronounced Low - is not Lou - is!)
- Claudia
- Veronica

There's so many I couldn't possibly list them all, I tend to like quirky or old-fashioned names so it depends on what taste your friend has!

I quite like my name too - Joanna - I've come across many Joanne's (which I hate being called!) but never another Joanna.

Congratulations to your friend, I hope the birth goes smoothly!

Just heard on the news the top names for baby's. Elizabeth, Libby, Emily,Isabelle were in the top. Remember to keep it simple, Lisa , Kimberly. My grandaughter is a Madison (Maddie) Think of your daughter when she gets older and she is named Nichole, Nikki at age 60 just does not sound good or fit the age.

karis (or charis) it's greek for Grace

penelope (the "e" sound at the end forces people's mouth into a smile, which in turn makes thing think more positively of the girl. all "e" names will do this so chloe, bethany, natalie, etc will work

michaela (kels, kelly or mikki for short)

Natasha

Elise

Angel

Harper Lee

Ummm ... cool?

My first daughter will be Brigid (Yeah, that's a fine way to spell it. As in, one of the correct Irish ways.)

But her nickname will be Bryg (if it fits). Bryg is actually Scottish. It's pronounced BREE.

I guess you could spell it Bree, if you wanted to. I think that's kind of cool. Or be far-out and spell it Bryg.

I was going to call my baby Romany. But I had a boy. Never mind, I loved that name as well!
