It's the One With The Flashback. Janice asks the group if any of them have come close to sleeping together and it flashes back to when Chandler is looking for a roommate and he interviews a bunch of people and through some confusion he gets Joey. Monica thinks he's goodlooking and invites him over for lemonade which he thinks is an invitation to have sex. In the other part of the episode Phoebe and Ross almost have sex because he is sad the he just found out his wife Carol is a lesbian and they are going to break up.
In the first episode of the show they were already friends and lived together.

chandler meets joey in the one with the flashback....i think.
joey accidently gets a room in chandlers apartment after confusing the original guy who wanted to move in.

one of the ones with the flash back - chandler wants to rent out his spare room and chooses a photographer and wen he turns up Mr Heckles says that he is moving in instead and then chandler then asks joey to move in
