Your GPA is in the 3.0 to 3.5 range

Well, to begin you should check with your school because some schools have different requirements, but typically it is something like this:

95-100= A = 4.0 points
90-95= A- = 3.7 points
87-90= B+ = 3.3 points
83-87= B = 3.0 points
80-83= B- = 2.7 points
77-80= C+ = 2.3 points
73-77= C = 2.0 points
70-73= C- = 1.7 points
67-70= D
F (fail) = 0.0 points

Some schools have different cutoffs like I said...

Some schools also give points for "A+" grades, sometimes referred to as grade inflation. Your total GPA would be a weighted average of class GPAs, weighted by the credits the classes are individually worth.
