It was so long ago I don't recall the price per gallon. I got my license at 16 in 1957. I recall I could put gas in the car take my date to a movie and buy Hamburgers and shakes all for $5.00.

15 cents a gallon... but sometimes there were "gas wars" and the price would drop to as low as 10 cents a gallon.

Around 25 cents a gallon,and they would put in for you and clean your windshield and check your oil too.

36-38 cents US a gallon, but it cost more then to me because I just made $1.00 an hour.
