I agree with it, you need to find a best fit for your team.

where i dont agree with it is where it is the only tool you use.

besides those tests are so dependent on your current fame of mind, people generally hold lots of personalities within themselves and depending which is on your mind when you answer the questions will determine to answers.

Companies use pre-employment personality tests for several reasons, e.g. cost, effectiveness, and so forth. But you do not have to be scared by these tests, make sure prepare yourself before taking them. I found this site very helpful when I took my tests: www.acejobtest.com.

Some jobs require certain types of people. Salesmen have to be outgoing and aggressive or they won't do well. Other jobs don't require certain types of personalities. Someone working in a hospital lab, doing blood tests should be hired based on ability not personality.

i don't agree with it.

it is an invasion of privacy and the people who take them could be not tellling the truth. i have taken so many i could tell you exactly what to put if you wanted to get the job.

just because the test says something does not mean it is true. i act completely different while i am at work than while i am at home but the test will say i am horrible for one job because of it.

I think they are OK. Just as long as it has no baring on the employers final decision to offer you the job or not. But as an idea of what type of worker you are it's OK.

I think it's THEIR job... not yours. As such, they have the right as well as the obligation to themselves, to hire whomever they please!!
