Bad reaction....because you are at the point of where action has already started and you are adjusting to what's already happening . I rather be the one causing the havoc than the one that has to make a decision on what to do when havoc has been given to them. At least Bad Action puts you in control.... Ya' Dig?

first of all let me say this ,that for every relationship to work it takes two, and both parties have to be willing to work at it, nothing good comes easy,as for your question concerning actions and reactions ,I'm sure you are quite aware that for every action there is a reaction so again it totally relies on both parties, just because one makes a mistake and performs a bad action that does not justify the other to react poorly, sometimes in situations someone has to be the bigger person and do right, and then there is the subject of counseling ,which Lot of people try to avoid and try to take matters which they know nothing about into there own hands and generally mess up more so than if they would have spent a little time and money on a counselor to be a professional mediator and guide through the problem

BOTH. PEOPLE AS A RULE ARE LOOKING AT THINGS THE OTHER DOES OR FAILS TO DO AND THEN USE THESE AS JUSTIFICATIONS FOR WHAT THEY THEMSELVES DO OR FAIL TO DO.
It is an endless cycle.
Bad relationships are also a result of people making a classic mistake. They find someone they think they cant live without, and they want to make that person theirs. Now, they see things in the other person that bothers them, they dont like, they dont respect or maybe even hate. Then they start to kid themselves by telling themselves that if they are patient, caring, love hard, etc, the other person will grow up, get some sense, become a better person, see the value in doing so, etc. They keep telling themselves these things, end up in a relationship with the other person and then see the mistake in having done so.
Problem is, you cant change anyone and the other person usually doesnt change, at least not rapidly. Instead they make a valid point to you in saying, "that you knew how I am. The other person has to want to change, and they wont unless they have a really good reason, that they themselves consider a really good reason. Just because you think someone should change doesnt mean they think they should do so. Lastly, most of the time, people dont care if they are wrong or not, so long as they get what they want.

bad actions in relationships cause bad reactions. bad actions cause more trouble, than the reaction. the action caused it in the first place. wouldn't be a reaction had there not been an action.

Sometimes, bad relationships are caused by the combination of two people who do not belong together. Actions and reactions are equal causes, I guess.

Always remember every action has a reaction, since the action is always first I would have to say that its the cause.

Either way you look at it, bad relationships happen because of a lack of communication. It doesn't matter if the communication is in the action or the reaction.
Relationships should be based on love, trust, truth, communication, and understanding. The key to holding all of this together is communication. You must be able to express yourself to your loved one and have them understand. You must be able to understand your loved one when he/she is trying to explain some situation to you.
If a couple is able to communicate and calmly discuss issues as they arise, then the issues stay small and never grow into something large enough to destroy the relationship.

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. And karma will take care of the rest.

bad actions call for bad reaction. Newton's third law of motion applies to life too "To every action there is and equal and opposite reaction"
