I loved her. What a tragedy!

I actually named my Chihuahua Selena after her, every time the movie is on my daughter and I watch it........

Yes it was very sad. I was one of her biggest Fans. I came home from school and I ran into the kitchen as usual to see what my mom was cooking. When I ran in she looked at me and then looked at my brother and asked him "should I tell her" and he said yes she's going to found out sooner or later. Then I knew something was wrong and I said "what" and my mom told me "well one of your favorite singers was killed today, do you know who it is?"and I said no and I named all the people in the world but I never thought it would be her. I was so sad that I cried my heart out for over a week. (yes I was really that big of a fan) I turned on the TV and it was all over the place. I lived off of a big street and all the people would pass by with their music full blast listening to SELENA. She was a great person. R.I.P SELENA-WE MISS YOU!

by the way I still love listening to her music. and watching her movie :)

I love Selena I am a HUGE fan! What happened to her was tragic but I try to think of the life she did live and its because of her music and the movie on her life that so many people were able to be toched deeply through her. She was truly a great person and I am glad that I know she is in a better place now where nothing can harm her.

I agree he was a macho man's man. Who would have suspected that rock-jawed hunk from 1950's cinema had been having an illicit affair with both Bono AND John Stewart at the same time- talk about saucey! Luckily, he had a wonderful but short lived stint in rejuvenating his rather damaged career as the "pancho" inspiration in the 80's hit boy-band "Menudo"

Wow!!! She was a super fantastic person!!!! and sooooo down to earth!!

She used to perform at a night club that I worked at in Arlington, TX. She always talked to everyone and laughed and told jokes!!! It was a very very sad day when she was killed.

Her brother AB went on to start his own band called the Kumbia Kings about 7 years ago, they were good, but nothing compaired to Selena's music!!

She had the most awesome laugh.....

Well you made me remember a really great person.....Thanks :o)

I wasn't aware of her in her life, and I don't know much about her music. Now I am a huge fan of David Byrne, who had a little to do with exposing her to an English speaking audience. They recorded a really cool song together called "God's Child". When he performed it live at Union Chapel, he got a little choked up when he introduced it.
