As I actually don't know what kind of books you like I can just tell you about those I like. The Golden Compass books are really good actually and are very interesting so that would be a good place to start. Also, if you like vampires and stuff there is a very good series called Cirque du Freak which is great. One of my personal favourites is Eragon. If you didn't like the movie very much then don't worry because the movie and the book are actually quite different. I hope you like these suggestions and if you like other type of books then you could go to a public library where there is probably someone who can help you.
