It is OK for 24 hours from the time it is completely thawed.

If you will use it within a week, don't even bother to freeze it since it keeps 7-8 days in the refridgerator.

Are you speaking approximately uncooked floor purple meat or cooked floor purple meat? Cooked meat of any variety could be stored in the refridgerator for 2 days only. yet uncooked? i could think of to prepare dinner it asap as quickly because it thaws.
