i'm very friendly with every one and have friends in all different "cliques" i have these "emo" frinds and a number of them cut, is there a way i can help them to stop?

no negative comments please
and if you don't know what "emo" means don't ask

They cut because they are Emo? If so, you really can't help them, they are followers and stupid.

If they are not trend cutters you need to speak to their parents. Cutting is a mental disorder associated with lack of control. They need professional help that a friendly peptalk cannot help.

Sorry, but this is all you can really do unless you are a trained counsellor.

I'm not a cutter but I know people who do but I try not to get involved. Most people view cutting as a cry out for attention, I agree.

However some people are truly addicted to cutting and use it as a form of release, and it is very serious. You can try hanging out with them and acting more care-ful with them, such as hugging them and leaning on them and making them feel good about themselves. My friends do that to eachother because they are kind of emo, but it works.

you can tell their parents if they dont know

and if they are doing that to be cool (and mtv did say that emo is the new style) just tell them its not because nobody thinks that

Try introducing them to Jesus Christ. Only Jesus can take away their pain and there obsession with cutting.
