If not the worst bottom three. William Henry Harrison only served 30 days and he was sick most of it and he did better than Bush.
He's arrogant.
He's stubborn.
He doesn't listen to his advisers.
He doesn't listen to the people.
He end runs the Constitution.
He lied about WMDs.
He lies about a lot of things.
He's a draft dodger.
His decision making is baffling.
He's caused more harm than good.
Not sure he's done any good at all.
We are losing in Iraq.
He's turning an easy win in Afghanistan into a loss.
He took his eye off the real bad guy and allowed N. Korea to get the bomb.
He's made us more enemies than allies.
He's a buffoon.
America will suffer for years because of him.
Ow! My hand is getting a cramp. I can't go on...

I think he is one of the worst, because he talked about bringing people together, but instead drove them apart. I didn't vote for him the first time, but was hopeful when he was "elected" in 2000. One of the first things he did was form an energy commission that basically included only industry reps and people who shared their worldview. Not only wasn't it bipartisan, it wasn't wise from a management standpoint. This made me pause. Then there was his struggle to allow or not allow stem cell research to continue. I'm for it, but if you're against it then make the decision, don't act like you're agonizing over what to do. Next, I didn't like his reaction to Sept 11. I remembered the deer in headlights look he gave during that first speech, and that really lower my confidence in him at the time. Then he declined any major support from NATO, which made me nervous because it showed the go it alone attitude. I also didn't like how he took the position that anyone who didn't agree with his policies was endangering the country. That wasn't cool. Don't get me started on his initial inaction during Hurricane Katrina. And of course, we all know how Iraq has turned out. He has refused to become engaged in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. These are just a few of the issues I have with him.
What makes him one of the worst is that many of his mistakes were easily avoidable, or at least he could have gotten more consensus on issues, but he choose his party over his country. I didn't like his old man, but at least he seemed competant. Jimmy Carter (who everyone above seems to be hating on) wasn't that good of a president, but he truly believed in diplomacy first, and in getting people to talk to one another. Even the conservative hero Reagan reached across the aisle from time to time.
I know the partisans on yahoo will say differant, but trust me, history will not be kind to GW.

I don't think he is one of the worst. I think he has done some pretty screwed up things but I couldnt imagine the amount of stress he has on his shoulders as a President. Any man who can keep office for 4-8 years and not lose their mind should be praised. No matter how stupid their actions are. (And I am a Democrat).

Absolutely, he has never been crowned " King George " to my knowledge,as he impresses. In a true Democratic nation, it should have a leader that has courage, intelligence, and listens to his countrys needs and wishes. People continue to die, as he makes mistakes, and makes up his mind.

No. He's one of the few people with the guts to protest us all -- even you -- from the terrorists who have said they would kill us if given the chance. And he sticks to his principles despite taking cheap shots from many people. Do you know anybody like that?
