Brava!
I agree with you here.
People always make a big deal of gays simply because they are really not able to accept imperfections in our society. Everything has to be perfect and fulfilled an ideal frame of a perfect life. People always have their own 'picture perfect' of what kind a utopia should be.
And gay and lesbian to those people are sort of like a social disease. Gay and lesbian to them are not ideal for this society.
Those people are anxious, judgmental, angry, negative and wreck because they cannot accept theirselves as human beings. Something's missing in their life and they really don't know how to find the answer of that missing part in their life....
And to know that gay and lesbian are everywhere like cockroaches makes them irritated by it and they simply judge and make a big deal about it. Remember unhappy people like it when everyone else unhappy. Misery loves company.
Why in the world would they make such a big deal about gay and lesbian while God Himself loves gay and lesbian? Most priests are gay even. ;)

The ones that really freak out are usually the hard core gay ones that can't except it, like "cheergal4"... She more then likely has a thing for one of her cheer sisters!
This ones for "Alicia S" I am gay and a Christian and If you don't like it too damn bad! What make you a Christian is your actions towards others not going and praising his/her name on Sunday in your Sunday's best as you AA tent to do. Don't be such a bigot because Christians are not supposed to be that way... It is not very Christian of you!
Here's one for "SomeGuy" so you believe a gay man and a gay women can't have children together? Get some education because you are an idiot!
Live and let live... Love and let love!!

People are selfish and afraid of those that are different than them. People fear that they will be forced to change if a certain group gains supremacy in some way. This is because of how human history has evolved. There have been so many times that one person or group of people have tried to force "their ways" on everyone else.
It could also be something more deep, perhaps repressed in people. It's possible some people have gay tendencies but are afraid to let them show. They lash out, which is merely a defense mechanism.

cultural unawareness. It's the same reason that people think that all Sikhs are terrorists, which is the farthest thing from the truth. It's the same reason that many people have prejudice and racism. They just haven't had the training to respect and understand other cultures, and homosexuality is partially a different culture.
*If the Crystal Meredeth Claim is approved in the Supreme Court, then cultural awareness and everything that school counselors and cultural committees have worked for will go down the drain.

I agree totally! To answer your question, people are afraid that if they acknowledge homosexuals then they must ask themselves the question "Am I gay?" The closed minded people don't want to ask that. Is it their fear of possibly being gay themselves, or maybe they just hate ALL things that are different from them? Either way, it's pretty f*cked up that someone can base their opinion on someone else's sexual preference.
"Why is it that the nastiest, smelliest, and fattest men think that all gay guys want to hit on them"?

I agree.Who cares who loves who? I could care less about someone else's sex life & feel there are other things in this world to be concerned about.I especially dont think its right that they cant marry because if they are together a long time~life partners,,they dont have any rights as a married couple ,,lets say in the case of death of one of the couple.

Making a big issue about gay people is down to sheer ignorance. The girls/guys who knock at gay people or who snare them are usually gay or bisex themselves. It is a known fact.

personally i dont care what people do in they're personal lives. i have a couple of gay and lesbian friends and they asked me the same question. i think a lot of people are bigots and full of hate towards what they dont understand, but i can say i feel a bit uncomfortable about the idea myself. i do belive that being gay is "unnatural" i hope that doesnt make me a bigot too. afterall if humans were all gay we wouldnt be here right now.
