Everyone seems so nonchalant about the state of the world. American's are in almost a trance like state of "denial" that there is a very real possibility, no, probability that we are on the cusp of WWIII. We can all hold hand and sway back and forth and sing Kumbaya but when the bombs start landing in our backyards are we really going to be that shocked and surprised?

j.b., Hack and Alpha, you guys get it. And j.b. I love King Sean the first. I have just listened to all the Bush caused this and Bush caused that crap. Clinton knew about Bin Laden etc. during his time too. We are not a United america anymore. We are so divided and it's political division. One of you asked me what I was doing about it. Nothing, what can I do. I try to vote some intelligent people into office but instead I end up with Pelosi. I knew I was going to catch hell with this question. it is frightening to think about. People react to fear by living in a state of denial. One young lady said "if we worry all the time we wouldn't be able to live our lives". She's right. I just wondered if anyone else felt the same way I do.

No mistake about it, we ARE in World War 3. I hate the fact that innocent people may be killed in war, but that is what war is. The US needs to be able to use everything at our military's disposal to end the evil in the Middle East as soon as possible! Instead we are bogged down in political masturbation while the enemy gets stronger and more confident that we will not fight. Wake up America!

Actually it is only a matter of time until some rich Arab which they have quite a few decides to nuke the USA and us infidels. See what they are doing in Africa, durfur. They have almost anilated those people. Now these poor third world countries have the bomb that hates Americans. Bush has not made us popular.
Russia is almost destroyed and going down for the third time and not above selling its nuclear arsenal to some arab.
We are surrounded by open borders. Not like we lived in a walled city. They wouldn't even leave the country to do it.
They want to die in a jihad. It is only a matter of time and everyone knows it. Just what can we do about it we have an insane president who is on a power trip.

I am glad to se that at least one person is still awake ,These times are biblical and accurate to the letter. People are so caught up in their self projected life that the real world is a fantasy . there are some of us making preparations and know where to go and pretty much when to leave the scene before the show gets too gory too watch. That day is approaching soon so keep your wits and your faith and be watchful for The animals to turn more and more on people these will be the days that you must survive

Well, that seems a bit alarmist. But I will say that most folks really aren't educated in the area of foreign affairs/ international relations. And that is a shame. But yes, I do agree with you in the sense that tensions are heightening. Especially in certain regions of the world.

History shows that those who feel they can afford to be ignorant will, as will those who feel they can afford to be arrogant. It almost mimicks Newtonian physics in that unless acted upon by another force, an object in motion remains in motion. Meaning that, simply put, few things short of catastrophy can hope to change this sad state of mind. The best we can hope for is those who are awake issuing a wake-up-call to those who slumber, but slumber lightly.

I can't speak for everyone else.
I don't believe I'm in on de Nile ... but after commuting, work, helping kids with homework, supervising the kids, cooking, doing chores, doing volunteer work for the school, running errands, .....
I have nothing left to give towards issues I know are really important.

Maybe if Americans will get off the polically correct bandwagon and start calling it like it is, then the rest might get the seriousness of it. I am talking to you Mr. "Religion of Peace" Guy, and you Ms. "Abortion Isnt Really Murder" Chick, and you Mr. "Christians are the Evil Ones".

Of course not. Americans are selfish and only care about ourselves. It's our own fault. Not the governments. Not our schools. Our culture has taught us to be apathetic and self serving and as long as we keep acting that way, no one will wake up. It's not denial its apathy.

The US is always on the brink of War, it's our style. If we were to spend all of our time stressing about the state of the world no one would ever be happy and nothing would ever get done. That's why we elect officials in this country to do the stressing for us.
