I recently got a flat tire and had to put new tire on, I dont think its my brakes because I dont hear the sound when i press on them. Then while I washing my car the same tire started smoking but none of the other tires did.

squealing could be wear indicators, smoke means a dragging brake from a sticking calipher :(

Sounds like you have a sticking break caliper. The caliper holds the brake pad and presses it against the rotor for you to stop when you press your brakes. It is supposed to release the brake when you let off the pedal.

But this isn't happening. to test it out, drive slowly apply your brakes, and then release them. let go of the steering wheel just long enough to see if the car drifts in the direction of that wheel, if it does, get your caliper replaced immediately.

The wheel was smoking at the car wash because it was super heated from the caliper sticking. The water was turning to steam.

Now if you do this and the car doesn't drift, you might have a bad wheel bearing, which can also heat up and cause the steaming effect. This is actually a very dangerous situation. Get your car to a mechanic immediately.

Hope this helps.

Sounds like the problem could be a sticking brake caliper(that would explain the heat build up). or possibly a bad wheel bearing. Typical of disc brakes you will hear a squeak when the pads get low enough for the wear indicator to make light contact with the brake rotor. Then when you apply pressure to the brake firm enough contact stops the squeaking until you release the pressure. Take it to a Mechanic.

Check the types of tires you got as well as the whole front.
If you changed one tyre you may also have 2 different tyres.
I had 2 different sizes once. I am not a professional, but some answers above are really worth looking into.

A grinding noise is probably brakes. Get them checked. The tire wear is probably a combo of under inflation, lack of rotation and alignment. If the tires a down to the metal wire, get new ones and in the process get a alignment. They could then check the brakes and if they are bad (which I think they are), then they could fix it for you.

Low tire pressure or alignment is off. When you got the flat you might have hit a pot hole or curb, changing the alignment.
You could have a brake dragging. Thats probably where the smoke is coming from.

Sounds like the wheel bearing has gone out. Take it to your garage or tire shop as soon as possible. The longer you drive, the worse it will get and the more it will cost to repair.

A mechanic can tel you what is wrong. I recommend taking it to a mechanic to make sure the problem is fixed properly, because otherwise it could be a serious problem anda driving hazard.

Sounds like the lug nuts aren't tightened when you got the new tire. Check that first.

well if it makes that sound when ur trying 2 stop then it's ur bakes and u need a new brake pad and if u don't fix it fast then u r gonna need a new caliper... which isn't cheap.
